The Pickens Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting application for Deputy positions in both the Uniform Patrol Division and the Adult Detention Center.
The Pickens Sheriff’s Office seeks career oriented, highly motivated, professional men and women with high moral and ethical standards to provide the entire range of law enforcement services to the community of Pickens County.
We are a full service law enforcement agency offering employment with a wide range of benefits available to employees and their families.
Employees interested in a Deputy Sheriff’s positions must be 21 years of age. Those interested in civilian positions must be 18. Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED, possess a Georgia Work Ready Certificate, valid driver’s license, honorable discharge (if prior military) and no adverse driving or criminal record.
Our selection process is thorough to ensure only the highest qualified persons are selected. This process includes, but is not limited to:
- Polygraph examination
- Extensive background investigation
- Oral Interview
- Medical Examination
- Drug Screen
