Inmate Telephones
Inmates are allowed to make collect calls from the facility’s telephone services between the hours of 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.. Inmates who are on disciplinary segregation are not allowed to make general phone calls. Individuals who experience trouble accepting call from an inmate or have questions concerning their bill may contact Paytel Communications Inc. at 1-800-729-8355 or www.paytel.com .
Jail personnel will not pass on any personal messages to inmates. Any family emergencies will be directed to supervisory personnel.
The CodeRED system gives county officials the ability to deliver pre-recorded emergency telephone notification/information messages to targeted areas or the entire city at a rate of up to 60,000 calls per hour. It also allows callers to receive severe weather warnings on the telephone as soon as they are issued by the National Weather Service. This is especially important as the tornado sirens are not able tobe heard inside a residence or at all in most locations.
