Inmate Commissary Accounts
Under no circumstances may inmates have money in their possession while detained in the facility. Upon admission to the Adult Detention Center, all money in the possession of an inmate will be taken by the booking officer and a receipt will be given to the inmate.
Southern Sheriff’s Supply provides commissary services to all inmates. Family or Friends may place funds in an Inmate’s account to purchase commissary goods. Personal checks are not accepted.
Upon release from the Adult Detention Center, all fund credited to an inmates account will be released to the inmate during normal business hours – Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The CodeRED system gives county officials the ability to deliver pre-recorded emergency telephone notification/information messages to targeted areas or the entire city at a rate of up to 60,000 calls per hour. It also allows callers to receive severe weather warnings on the telephone as soon as they are issued by the National Weather Service. This is especially important as the tornado sirens are not able tobe heard inside a residence or at all in most locations.
